What Our Students Are Saying:
I chose the M.Ed. in reading program at Lynchburg College because I wanted to broaden my knowledge of the latest research and best practices for assessing and remediating struggling readers. My goal is to use the skills I gain to make a difference in the lives of my students.![]()

"Our reading program is based on the belief that in a rapidly changing society, literacy holds the key to success in the personal, professional, and civic lives of our children. Students benefit from broad-based and comprehensive approaches to teaching reading, and these programs must be led by expert reading teachers and specialists." - Dr. Susan Thompson, associate professor of curriculum instruction and reading and program director, M.Ed. in reading. |
