This emphasis explores the historical foundations of public relations and equips students with a portfolio of employable, writing-intensive tactics including pitch letters, news releases, public service announcements (PSAs) and a comprehensive campaign plan.

Students in the Public Relations Emphasis advance their theoretical understanding of strategic communication practices within an increasingly global society and apply their knowledge through real-world campaign planning, implementation, and evaluation for a selected client.
