Other Admission Requirements
Most programs do an initial screening of all applicants. The important components of the screening include:
- All prerequisites are fulfilled.
- GPA
- GRE
- Work experience in the field in internship hours or volunteer work.
It is also suggested that students look for a variety of settings to fulfill the voluntary/internship work experience hours (acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, etc.)
Admissions Standardized Test: GRE
The average scores of admitted students are 580 quantitative, 490 verbal, and 580 analytical.
GPA: 3.0-3.2 required as a minimum for many schools. Obviously, the higher the GPA, the better the chance for success in the initial screens.
