Philosophy
Philosophy is an inquiry into the most general, abstract, and important questions that we can raise: What is reality? Of what can we be certain - if anything? Does God exist? Is it possible to have faith and still be logical? What makes an action morally right or wrong?
A major (BA) or minor in philosophy teaches you to analyze, interpret, evaluate, and communicate logically and effectively.
What Will I Study?
In addition to basic courses in ethics and logic, you will study different philosophical schools of thought and methods of thinking.
Philosophy majors are required to write a thesis paper in their senior year.
What Kind of Job Can I Get?
Studying philosophy prepares you for a wide variety of careers - jobs in law, business, and education are common for philosophy majors.
