Four Lynchburg College graduates are among 10 Centra nurses who are recipients of Centra’s 2014 Excellence in Nursing Award.
Karen Briggs ’00 BSN, ’11 MSN; Stacy Taylor ’00 BS, ’06 BSN; Fran Concklin ’84 BS; and Susan Shirey ’98 BSN were nominated by their peers for “exemplifying excellent clinical or leadership performance, positive professional image and exemplary professional practice.”
Karen works in the Cardiovascular and Neurosciences Division; Stacy is in the Critical Care Division; Fran serves in the Women’s and Children’s Division; and Susan is in the Surgical Services Division.
The professional contributions of Centra nurses have resulted in Centra’s national recognition and numerous awards, accreditations and accolades for quality, safety and patient satisfaction.
