U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges 2015” ranks University of Lynchburg in the top tier of southern colleges and universities that offers a full range of undergraduate programs and master’s degrees in the “Best Regional Universities” category.
This is the tenth year that University of Lynchburg has been ranked as a top-tier regional institution. LC was ranked 33, ahead of Radford University (34), Shenandoah University (47) and Mary Baldwin College (49). Only 12 Virginia schools are included in the top tier.
University of Lynchburg fared particularly well in these categories: 74 percent freshman retention rate; 11-1 student-faculty ratio; 60 percent of classes with fewer than 20 students; and 64 percent admissions acceptance rate.
