Students will be sleeping outside in the Dell as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. Students seek sponsors for each night to raise money for two long-term residential programs in Lynchburg: Miriam’s House, for homeless women and children, and Gateway, for homeless men in recovery.
For more than a decade LC has observed Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week to educate the LC community about the realities of homelessness and hunger. The goal is to provide means of action for students and staff to help with the issues of hunger and homelessness globally, nationally, and locally.
