Lecture cancelled
Today's Senior Symposium lecture, "WATER IN MIND: Exploring narratives, perceptions, and responses to unprecedented climate change for Sakha of northeastern Siberia, Russia," has been cancelled due to illness of the speaker.
Next Monday's lecture, "Single sex colleges: a valuable use of resources?," is still scheduled for noon in Memorial Ballroom.

Men's cross country coach Doug Thomasey '05 was named the Coach of the Year in the South/Southeast Region recently by the U. S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
This was the second year in a row that Thomasey has been named regional coach of the year. He has also won the ODAC Coach of the Year award in back-to-back seasons.

Lynchburg College students, representing France, won five of eight top recognition awards at the Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation in Washington, D.C., Nov. 18-19: Natalie Armel '12 received the Outstanding Commissioner Award, Kaleigh Giles '12 and Jillian Gates '13 won Outstanding Parliamentarian Awards; David Warner '12 (as President Nicolas Sarkozy) won the Outstanding Head of State or Government Award, and Kyle Ewald '13 won the Outstanding Parliamentarian in Plenary Session Award.
