Counseling kudos
Dr. Jeanne Booth, associate professor of counselor education, has been elected president of the Virginia Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors, and will begin a two-year term in that office on July 1, 2011.
Dr. Booth and Dr. Mandy Perryman, assistant professor of counselor education, will be presenting a three-hour Learning Institute at the American Counseling Association's National Conference to be held in New Orleans in March of 2011. Their session is titled "Childhood Obesity: Counseling Interventions for Children and Families."

Dr. Brian Crim, assistant professor of history, was accepted for the 2011 Jack and Anita Hess Seminar for Faculty: "Teaching about the Holocaust through Eyewitness Testimony: Using Interviews and Memoirs in the Classroom," in January at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
