Experience/Background

Before joining the faculty at Lynchburg College, I taught at the University of Idaho (three years), Oklahoma State University (ten years) and was a visiting professor at Central Washington University and the University of Wyoming. I was the Academic Director of the U.S. AID-funded master's degree program in governmental auditing and financial management at the Bolivian Catholic University (UBC/Harvard University), Chief of Party for the Accounting Reform Project in Uzbekistan, and Regional Training Director for Central Asia. In addition I have consulted to the governments of Bolivia, Peru, the Philippines, and Bulgaria on anti-corruption and governmental auditing issues; and on curriculum development to universities in Central Asia, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Oman.

Before becoming a professor, I worked as an information systems manager and hospital controller, as an auditor and senior information systems consultant for an international CPA firm, and for five years as a self-employed CPA.
