Are you:
- An art major with an interest in the work of Giotto, Michelangelo, or Vermeer?
- An English major with an interest in Chaucer, Shakespeare, Donne or Milton?
- A history major with an interest in the Crusades, the history of fifteenth century Florence, or the reigns of the Tudor monarchs?
- Or someone with an interest in any or all of the areas listed above?
The Medieval and Renaissance studies minor will help you connect these fields in a way that will enrich your chosen major.
Whether you want to prepare for teaching or graduate study, or you just want to learn more about the history and culture of these interesting and important centuries of European history, the Medieval and Renaissance studies minor has something for you.
The minor in Medieval and Renaissance studies requires 18 hours in courses covering material prior to 1600 (and English Renaissance literature through 1700).
