FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear LC Colleagues and Friends:
With the College's Strategic Plan as the key building block, we turned our attention in late 2004 to LC's future through the process of campus facilities master planning. We contracted with MacLachlan, Cornelius & Filoni of Pittsburgh, PA (www.mcfarchitects.com) to examine our current situation, define the possibilities, and formulate a plan of action to embrace our future.
A working group of approximately 20 faculty, staff, students, and trustees served as the Steering Committee for the next 12 months of this endeavor. As needed, a separate Board of Consultants provided additional research and information. Throughout the process, the entire campus community took part via regular sharing of ideas for future facilities.
The Steering Committee met with the consultants monthly, a collaboration that culminated in October 2005 with a formal report unanimously adopted by the College Board of Trustees.
