Anna's Well

In May, a group of eight LC students, including four women's soccer players, traveled with Dr. Todd Olsen to Uganda to dedicate a well to Anna Wright '11, which was made possible by multiple fundraisers by the LC community and Anna's family.



Commencement 2011

Stroll down memory lane with some select shots from May 14, when 503 undergraduate and 103 graduate degrees were awarded in one of the largest commencements in recent history.



Richard Szymczyk

Within days of graduation, Richard Szymczyk III '11 spent 11 days as a volunteer with the American Red Cross in Joplin, Missouri, where residents are still recovering from the devastating tornado that killed 141 people.


Derrick Thompson

Derrick Thompson '08 spent the past year as the artistic director of the Tianjin Concert Hall Mulan Children's Choir in Tianjin, China, a city of 3.7 million people. Enjoy listening to a solo he performed while there.

St. Lucia

Meet Judy Loctor and Wendy Bailey, graduates from St. Lucia who made the long journey to Lynchburg College to earn degrees and gain practical work experience to improve education on their Caribbean island.
