Dr. Jeremy Langett
Assistant Professor of Communication Studies
Jeremy Langett teaches a variety of public relations courses and serves as the faculty adviser to the Lynchburg College PRSSA chapter. He also teaches a section of Argument and Reasoning each semester.
Dr. Langett's research interests include rhetorical considerations of public relations, philosophical foundations of integrated marketing communication (IMC), and communication ethics. He has presented research at statewide, regional, and national communication conferences and is published in the International Journal of Strategic Communication.
Originally from Pittsburgh, he worked for several years at a strategic marketing-communications firm for clients in the technology, healthcare, and education sectors. Prior to his appointment at Lynchburg College, he taught communication courses at Duquesne University and Robert Morris University.
He holds a B.S. in public relations from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, an M.A. in corporate communication from Duquesne University, and a Ph.D. in rhetoric from Duquesne University.
