Lynchburg College is seeking applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant in its Communication Studies Department. Normal work hours are 15 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Position requires administrative assistant experience and strong organizational and communication skills, as well as proficiency in the use of personal computers and database management systems. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, event planning, budgeting, and maintaining web pages. Candidate must be a self-starter, committed to accurate work, and capable of handling multiple priorities.
Post-high school education in business or secretarial-related field and up-to-date computer skills are preferred. Candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the College.
