Experience/Background
Mrs. Husted has thirteen years of teaching experience in grades K-7. She has taught in many diverse settings, such as in the Detroit, Michigan area schools, Dekalb County Schools in Atlanta, Ga., as well as schools in rural Indiana and Michigan. Her most recent experience has been in Amherst County Schools in Amherst, Va., where she served as a reading specialist for seven years. Mrs. Husted was instrumental in establishing the Lynchburg College/Amelon Partnership for Learning Project and assisted in coordinating that project for three years. She joined the faculty of the School of Education and Human Development in the fall of 1999.
