New Student Housing Selection

How to Get Your Room Assignment

If you are a new student living on campus, you must first pay your housing deposit. Then complete the Housing Preference Form.

The form helps us match you with a roommate based on your lifestyle and preferences. If you want to room with a friend, you must both select each other on your Housing Preference Forms.

All incoming first-year students are placed in Montgomery and Tate Halls. Transfers and other incoming students will be placed in one of our other residence halls.

First Year Engagement (FYE) Housing

As part of the First Year Engagement (FYE) Program, if you are a first-year student coming directly from high school, you will live in Tate or Montgomery Hall with other first-year students.

This makes it easy for you to make new friends and learn from your classmates as you adjust to college life. We have special programs and events that help you learn study and life skills that will serve you throughout college and beyond.

Specially-trained FYE staff members include 18 resident assistants (RAs) and two graduate student hall directors. The staff are always available to help you with whatever you need.
