Observatory Open House Friday, May 23/24 9:30 p.m. Claytor Nature Study Center. Visit the Observatory! You'll be able to look through our powerful telescopes and learn more about the universe. Tickets are free, but they are required. A limited number tickets are available by contacting lcobservatory@gmail.com at 6 p.m. on the first day of the month of each open house.

Children's Art Workshop at Daura Gallery

The Children's Art Workshop at the Daura Gallery will feature “Mobiles: Sculpture that Moves” on Sunday, March 30 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. This workshop is for children between the ages of 6 to 12. Younger children may participate if an adult stays with them. Pre-registration is required by March 28 – class size is limited to 12 children. Cost: $15. Thornton Reading - Patrick Ryan Frank

Patrick Ryan Frank, Spring Thornton Writer-in-Residence, will read from his work. He is the author of "How the Losers Love What’s Lost," which won the 2010 Intro Prize from Four Way Books; and The Opposite of People, to be published in 2015. Reception and book signing to follow. Film - Inequality for All

The film, “Inequality for All,” winner of Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and narrated by Robert B. Reich, secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration, looks at the vast disparity in wealth in the US. Sponsored by the Office of Spiritual Life and the Bonner Leader Program.

Children's Art Workshop at the Daura Gallery - 2/23

Come see our exhibit of carved jade, ivory, and coral depicting figures and animals from Chinese mythology! Then we'll make our own mythical animals. Workshop led by Kristin Reiber Harris.

Children ages 6 to 14.

Pre-registration is required; class size limited to 12. Final day to register is Friday, Feb. 21.
