What Our Graduates Are Saying:
My years in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Lynchburg College offered me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. My professors challenged me to be my best. As an educator, I try to pass this philosophy on to the young people I come in contact with each day. I would not be where I am today without stepping through that first 'door' in the fall of 1990.
-- Tyrone Gafford, '94 B.A., '07 M.Ed., assistant principal, Altavista High School
The M.Ed. in educational leadership was so practical. We discussed things and read things that I could apply every day in my job. I had all the tools I needed.
-- Amy Huskin '07 principal, Thomas C. Miller Elementary School, Lynchburg, and member of the first cohort in LC's Ed.D. in Leadership Studies
My graduate degree in administration has enabled me to become a principal, director of instruction, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools. My connection with Lynchburg College is a great source of personal pride.
-- Bobbi Farmer Johnson '81, '93 M.Ed., superintendent of Culpeper County Public Schools

"We are proud of the fact that more than 99 percent of our M.Ed. in educational leaderships students have passed the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA), which is required by the state of Virginia, and that more than 50 of our graduates have already assumed leadership positions in schools or school divisions."
