Name: Rebecca "Becky" Keller
Hometown: Charlottesville, Virginia
Undergraduate degree and school: Health science with a concentration in athletic training with a minor in biology from James Madison University
What her professor says: "Becky is an excellent student. She is an active learner in class and is driven to be the best academically. She goes the extra mile for her classmates on a daily basis. She is an exceptional example of the professionalism and leadership that we expect from our students at Lynchburg College's DPT program."
-- Stephen W. Elam, PT, DPT, Assistant Professor
What sparked your interest in physical therapy? Ever since I had ACL reconstruction and sports injuries, I have been interested in rehabilitation and everything about PT.
What's the most exciting part of the DPT program? To me, the most exciting part about the program would be Homunculus and learning everything.
What do you hope to do with your degree? I hope to practice as a PT and maybe go overseas and get a specialty.
What are some of your hobbies? My hobbies include triathlon, volleyball, soccer, water-polo, and rock climbing.
What is your favorite quote? "A journey of 1,000 miles ... begins with a single step"; "You can do anything you set your mind to doing. You must want success. Doing something that is difficult requires that you want to be successful with every fiber of your core. The intense desire to succeed helps you overcome obstacles that crush other people"; and "Dream like you have a lifetime ahead of you. Play like there is no tomorrow."
Something unique about Becky: She has a twin sister and two brothers and says it made things fun growing up!
