Tashan DuffName: Tashan Duff

Hometown: Chester, Virginia

Undergraduate degree and school: Liberty University, Exercise Science

What his professors are saying about him:

“The first three words that come to mind to describe Tashan are professional, curious and energetic.  He has demonstrated exemplary professional growth.  His interactions with faculty, students and the community are professional.  He demonstrates investment in the program and the college by participating in non-academic events held by the program.

It was clear that when working with patients in the free clinic that he was doing more than fulfilling an academic requirement.  It was obvious that he cares about patients.  He engaged the patients in a professional, caring, energetic and effective manner.  He demonstrated leadership ability in that he helped his fellow students design and implement effective interventions for patients.  He also is a team player, working well with classmates, more senior students and faculty mentors.“

- Dr. Sue Curfman, Assistant Professor

A sports injury my junior year in HS gave me the desire to help any and everyone I can to never have to miss something they love due to a functional limitation.

This degree honestly will allow me to be able to serve people on a professional level and impact lives in a way I never have been able to before.

What are some of your hobbies?

Being physically active or playing instruments.

What is your favorite quote?

"You can have anything you want in this world, as long as you are first willing to help someone else get what they want."
