What sparked your interest in physical therapy? As an athletic trainer, I have enjoyed the world of rehabilitation and wanted to expand my knowledge as a health care professional.

What's the most exciting part of the DPT program? I have enjoyed the amazing cadaver lab and the friendly professors who are so helpful.

What do you hope to do with your degree? I would like to work with young children and athletes in an orthopedic setting. Perhaps one day, I would like to be the owner of a sports orthopedic clinic.

What are some of your hobbies? I enjoy working out and being active as well as just hanging out with friends and classmates. I like spending any free time doing carpentry work and working with my hands. I also enjoy and think that it is very important to help out with my community in any way I can such as Habitat for Humanity.

What is your favorite quote? "There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle or you can live as if everything is a miracle." -- Albert Einstein

"Ya'll be fine." - Dr. Mandy Jarriel

Something unique about Matt: I started college as an architect major ... and now I'm here!
