Criminology

Group in front of prison

Why do people commit crimes? How can crime be prevented? How should society treat criminals? These are some of the important and challenging questions a criminologist seeks to answer.

We offer both a major (B.A.) and minor in criminology.

What Will I Study?

People and societies are complex, so it's no wonder that courses come from a variety of subjects: sociology, history, psychology, political science, and international relations.

Criminology majors complete a senior research project using what they've learned over the course of their studies.
