LOCATION
The Counseling Center is located on the same floor as the Student Health Center in Hundley Hall, terrace level.
HOURSThe Counseling Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Services are provided by appointment, and emergencies are accommodated as quickly as possible.

- For appointments, call the Counseling Office at ext. 8616 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

In case of an emergency need during weekends or at other times when the Counseling Center is closed, resident students should contact their Resident Assistant or the Hall Director on duty and/or call the Lynchburg College Security Services by dialing “0” from your room extension or by dialing 544-8100 from other phones.
All students who live either on or off campus can utilize the services of the Lynchburg General Emergency Room at 1901 Tate Springs Drive, which provides 24-hour emergency mental health consultations. Their phone number is 947-3033.
The Counseling Services are available to all full-time undergraduate students (including full-time ACCESS students) as part of their comprehensive fee. Part-time undergraduates (including part-time ACCESS students) and all graduate students (both full-time and part-time) may use both the Health and Counseling Services for a fee of $200 each semester, payable at the Cashier’s Office before the start of each semester. In addition they must submit a completed Health Information Form, including a record of the College’s required immunizations.
CONFIDENTIALITYServices of the Counseling Center are confidential within the parameter of the law of the state of Virginia. Information can be released only with the student's signed permission. One exception to this rule applies: If the student expresses intent to harm him- or herself. In this case, the proper authorities will be notified.
