Event Details: 

How can people live happier, healthier lives by incorporating nature into their environments? Find out Feb. 23 during a seminar sponsored at LC by the Central Virginia Master Naturalists and Central Virginia Environmental Education Alliance.

The lecture will be in Sydnor Performance Hall, Schewel Hall, with displays in the lobby as follows:

  • 7 to 8 p.m.: Community Expo Informational Displays
  • 8 to 9 p.m.: Lecture: “Earth and People Friendly Designs for Homes and Schoolyards” by Nancy Striniste

Striniste, landscape designer and former teacher, maintains that spending more time in nature can relieve stress, resulting in fewer sick days, as well as improved concentration and learning, particularly among children.
