romeEighteen LC students are in Rome to study “The Eternal City: Rome as Art" over the holiday break.

Dr. Delane Karalow, associate professor of art, and Siobhan Byrns, assistant professor of photography, are leading this 16-day study abroad program. Check out the details.

Fine arts students experience some of the greatest art and architecture the world has produced, while photography students have the opportunity to capture Rome on film.

Highlights include the heart of ancient Rome featuring the Coliseum and Trajan’s and Constantine’s columns, as well as the Baroque Piazza Navona, and one of the most perfect buildings to survive antiquity, the Pantheon. A trip to Vatican City includes St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which house the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s glorious frescos. Students will also take an excursion to Tivoli to Hadrian’s Villa and the Villa d’Este.
