Nicole Smith, MA
Nicole Smith has a BA degree in corporate communication from Elon College (now Elon University) in North Carolina, and an MA degree in communication studies - theory and research from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. Her research interests focus on aspects of interpersonal, family, and organizational communication, as well as mass media influences and effects.
Prior to Lynchburg College, Ms. Smith worked seven years in corporate communication positions with several companies including LexisNexis and General Electric. She also worked four years in college admissions and enrollment at a Virginia private college and served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Communication Studies at West Virginia University.
Ms. Smith teaches Argument and Practical Reasoning (COMM 101), Interpersonal Communication (COMM 112), and Public Presentation (COMM 228). She enjoys working with her students and getting to know them, as well as learning from them!
