Research Interests

Professor Schneider is particularly interested in teaching pedagogy and how students learn. She employs a variety of teaching methods in her classes to enhance student achievement, including active learning techniques.

Personal Information

Professor Schneider has been married since 1973 to William Schneider, an attorney and US Bankruptcy trustee. They have two daughters, both of whom take great interest in their mother's work and students. She enjoys reading, walking, bike riding, cooking, and movies. Teaching at a small liberal arts college appeals to her because it allows her to give students individualized attention and to get to know them well.
