LC hosts Sustainability Week
LC has dubbed the week of Nov. 5 Sustainability Week in conjunction with Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. The College’s Natural Resources Committee is sponsoring these events.
Seeking the Good Life in America, a film exploring alternative ways to live sustainably by Joy Truskowski, will be shown in Hopwood Auditorium. The filmmaker will be there for a lively discussion. Check the trailer.
Singer-songwriter and filmmaker Joy Truskowski will present a concert with Richard Harvey on violin and tenor banjo and Meredith Marsh on viola and cello in Sydnor Performance Hall. Listen to some of Joy's songs.

Rain barrel painting in front of Schewel Hall for the Garden House, where students collect rainwater from their roof to water their garden. Painting the barrels dark colors prevents algae from growing inside.
Wednesday, Nov. 7
Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time is the first full-length documentary film ever made about legendary environmentalist Aldo Leopold. It traces how he shaped and influenced the modern environmental movement. Learn more. Schewel Hall, Room 232.
