Jason Leverett, MA

Instructor of Communication Studies

Mr. Leverett's passion for education drove him to seek a BA in speech communication at Liberty University in 2004. One year later, after briefly observing how communication works in a non-profit environment, Mr. Leverett began his MA in interpersonal communication at Liberty University and focused his attention on exploring relational maintenance behaviors. He received his MA in interpersonal communications in 2007.

Mr. Leverett encourages students to explore their own thoughts and opinions in comparison with those of the experts. He seeks to find ways to make the material personal for each individual, as well as applicable to the entire classroom.

Mr. Leverett looks forward to research in fields such as speech, emotions, conflict management, and other topics in interpersonal communication. He plans to pursue a PhD in communication.
