Get!Downtown

Get!Downtown is designed to celebrate and showcase Downtown Lynchburg and area colleges and universities.

Back for its fourth year, Lynchburg’s most popular street festival will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 7. The festival features downtown cultural organizations, merchants, restaurants, retailers, and street performers.

Karaoke @ 8th Street begins at 6 p.m. This year’s event also includes music at the Community Market. DJ Ed takes the stage at 6:10 p.m., followed by Jeff Carl at 7 p.m., and Adam Faucett at 8 p.m.

Greater Lynchburg Transit Authority buses will leave Lynchburg College from the parking lot behind Hobbs every 30 minutes beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Return trips will also be every 30 minutes until 11:28 p.m. LC students, faculty, and staff ride free with a college ID.
