Mr. Hill attended Virginia Tech and Radford University for his undergraduate work and completed a BS in music education at Radford in 1975. He holds the master of church music and master of arts in Christian education degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky.
His ministry experience includes serving in churches in Alabama, Kentucky, and Virginia (music, youth, education). He also served for 15 years as a music missionary, during which time he taught in a seminary in Brazil and for a year at Bluefield College (during a sabbatical). He also worked for two years as minister to international students and instructor of ESL (Campbellsville Baptist Church and Campbellsville University, Ky.).
Mr. Hill and his wife, Carol, have two sons, Mark and Aaron, who were born in Belém, Brazil, where they lived most of their childhood years.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hill has performed extensively as an accompanist in recitals and concerts in colleges, seminaries, churches, and other community settings. He accompanied Carol's MCM and DMM recitals, and in April 2008 he played for her first of four DMA voice recitals. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in Performance (Collaborative Piano) at Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia.
