Experience

Professor Rule has 8 years’ experience in higher education. She has taught at Kaplan University (online), Wytheville Community College, and Radford University. She has worked as a management consultant, a copy editor, and designer for local nonprofit organizations and Fortune 500 companies.

Professor Rule’s research interests include strategic communication, journalism and mass communication education, and digital storytelling models. She teaches Journalism and Argumentation and Reasoning courses.  

Professor Rule is the faculty adviser for the multimedia news organization, The Critograph.
