Rollercoaster
Posted on 11/17/2009This week was almost like a rollercoaster for me. I did not get the part in the play I was aiming for which was heartbreaking for me at first. Fortunately, I have wonderful friends who made me feel better. They reminded me that everything happens for a reason...cliché, I know! But I am now able to live it up during the last semester of my senior year, concentrating on my study abroad trip and finding a JOB (ahhhh). Plus the ensemble gets some really fun dance songs (and I might even learn some tap). I hope some of you readers will be able to come support us the weekend of February 25-28 for Thoroughly Modern Millie!
Saturday was our last women's club soccer game in Farmville, VA against Longwood University. It was a fun game staying tied 1-1 for most of the match. Unfortunately they gained the lead in the last five minutes, ending with a score of 2-1. The Longwood Lancers took home the win. This was a really great game to end the season with. My team mates played extremely well; it is so nice to be part of a team again.
The best part of the weekend was the visit with my family. My older sister and her husband just bought a house in Farmville...aka "Farm-Vegas." They both graduated from Longwood and have settled right next to their alma mater. My dad and younger sister joined us after my game to see their new purchase, (even our puppy, Ginny, came). I am so excited for them and now I can't wait to have a house of my own! First things first though, I need to graduate and find a job! The family slumber party was a great ending to what started off as a crummy week. Until next week, I'm Over and Out!
