Our Mission

The mission of Lynchburg College Bookstore is to support the educational and professional success and the quality of campus life of students, faculty, and staff by providing course materials, school/office supplies, and general merchandise. It is also the bookstore's mission to enhance the image of the College by promoting and instilling spirit in the campus community, their families, alumni, and prospective students and their families, by offering imprinted merchandise and services.

Special Events and Announcements: 

• Bookstore Renovation will start in April 2008: Please pardon any inconvenience as we move, and operate out of one-half of the store through graduation.  Look for some great sales as we hope to clearance merchandise! Beginning May 7, summer term books will be sold from Westover Conference Room.  The Bookstore will relocate to Westover on May 12 and remain there until the end of June.

• Graduating Students Late orders for cap, gown, and degree hoods are now being taken in the Bookstore. Orders must be prepaid. Please call the Bookstore at 434- 544-8241 to pay and place order by phone. If you missed the graduation week letter, you can read it on the click the tab to left titled Graduation 2008 (MS Word Document) and if you would like to order commencement announcements, click the tab to the left titled Order Graduation Announcements Online.
  
• Sell Your Used Books for CASH - During Exam week 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Westover Room conference room.
  
• College Ring Company Representative On Campus:April 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; May 9, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Graduation Saturday, May 10, 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.Students who have reached second semester sophomore status may order their official College ring for presentation at the College ring ceremony held during Parents and Family Weekend.  You may view the "Official Ring" collection at LC's Official Ring Collection 
    
• College Gift Cards make terrific gifts!  Order your gift card from the Bookstore in any denomination.  Redeem at any of the following campus locations:  Bookstore, Donald's Bagels in Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall, campus post office, Westover campus restaurant, Stinger's Coffee 'n Such, and dining hall.
  
• Open a Lynchburg College Account, which may be a debit or credit account, and use to purchase in the following areas: Bookstore, Westover Room, Donald's Bagels in Elliot & Rosel Schewel Hall, Stinger's Coffee 'n Such, campus post office, Hornet Shop, and dining services. Off-campus pizza delivery purchases can also be authorized on the College account.

  Make payments or deposits to accounts online at www.lynchburg.edu/payments  
  Read the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the College account by clicking the left sidebar.  Questions may also be directed to e-mail at winnagle@lynchburg.edu or farley@lynchburg.edu.
  
  This account may be managed by credit limit and/or may be placed on hold by request by calling 434/544-8239 and selecting Option 5 for voicemail. Declining balance accounts may be managed by deposit amount by calling 434/544-8246 or 434/544-8217.

• Bookstore sells stamps as well as phone, laundry, and gift cards (any amount). You may put money on your laundry/vending card via check, cash, student account, debit/check/credit card: $20 limit please.  All freshmen will receive a laundry card at fall check-in.
