Bonner Leaders programs are supported in approximately 50 colleges and universities in the nation by the Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Foundation (www.bonner.org). The Bonner Foundation, headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, operates and supports both campus-based and faith-based programs. The mission of the Bonner Leaders program is "to transform the lives of students and members, the life of their campuses, their local communities, and the world through service and leadership" by engaging students in ongoing, meaningful service work in non-profit settings. Bonner Leaders are provided with service scholarships and earn AmeriCorps Education Awards for their work in the community, and meet regularly as a group to participate in training and reflection activities. The program is designed to enhance the students’ academic experiences by fostering real-world, community connections.
