Ms. Melissa Bogacik,
Instructor of Communication Studies
Melissa Bogacik received both her B.S. and M.S. from Radford University in organizational/corporate and professional communication. She also taught public speaking for two years at Radford before coming to Lynchburg College.
She mainly teaches public relations courses, including an Introduction to Public Relations, Crisis Communication and Media Writing. Ms. Bogacik also teaches Argument and Reasoning and Interpersonal Communication.
Her research interests include the impact of new technologies on social capital, the influence of social media on public relations, and the effectiveness of crisis communication strategies.
She is also the faculty advisor for LC's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, and the faculty mentor for the Equestrian Team.
