- JoVE: Journal of Visualized Experiments - Video demonstrations of biological laboratory techniques. A truly unique resource.
- Medscape - provides access to Medline, Toxline, and Aidsline, as well as full-text articles from about 50 peer-reviewed medical journals and 7 peer-reviewed electronic journals. From WebMD.
- National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) - Includes: Genbank, a repository of genetic sequence data; BLAST, for comparisons of nucleotide sequences; and PubMed, the premier database of medical literature citations. It utilizes the Entrez interface to search many different information resources in biology and medicine.
- National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
- Science.gov - A gateway to "authoritative selective science information" from U.S. government agencies.
- Scirus - Searchess only scientific content; both web and journal sources.
- Stem Cells In The Spotlight
- USP (U.S. Pharmacopeia) - provides information for health care professionals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, patients and consumers, and USP volunteers. USP also includes a search feature which allows retrieval of information on more than 750 medicines.
