This event will feature exhibits and seminars on a variety of topics including Medicare Part D, driver safety, reverse mortgages, funeral pre-planning, and much more. Free. Sponsored by the Beard Center, AARP Virginia, Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging, and "Senior News".

The Life Course: A Mini Series on Healthy Aging
Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm at Lynchburg College, Brewer Townhouse Meeting Room. Sponsored by the Beard Center.
Topics will include tips for healthy aging, aging in place: tricks of the trade to help you remain independent, fall prevention, fiancing in-home and out-of-home care, and conversing with your children about your end-of-life needs and preferences.

Sponsored by the Beard Center on Aging, Centra, and the Alzheimer's Association of Central Virginia.

The Mission of the Center on Aging reflects Lynchburg College's commitment to understanding and addressing issues of aging and the needs of older citizens. Special emphasis is placed on community education and outreach involving students and faculty with older individuals of Central Virginia. The Center offers unique opportunities that directly involve students in research initiatives, meaningful outreach, educational programs, and professional conferences.
