The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) released the 2008 All-State Women’s Basketball Teams Wednesday, with Lynchburg forward Brittany Dahn (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run) taking home second-team honors.

The Lynchburg College women’s basketball team completed their 2007-08 season Thursday afternoon, as they fell to Roanoke College 86-67 in the quarterfinal round of the 2008 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament. With the loss, the Hornets finish their season 16-10, going 13-7 in the league.

Guilford College earns top billing on the men’s side after churning out a 16-2 conference record, 21-4 overall. Virginia Wesleyan College has given itself its best chance at winning its first ODAC women’s basketball championship, entering as the top seed following a 17-3 league mark, 20-5 overall.
