The 2009 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) released its College Division All-State baseball teams Thursday, as the Hornets of Lynchburg College were honored with four players on the squad, including both first-team pitchers.

Lynchburg College junior long distance standout Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) took home his second All-American honor in the last three days as Dr. Jack Toms and the Lynchburg College men's track and field team competed Saturday at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Marietta College.

Lynchburg wins ODAC Men's Commissioner's Cup

Lynchburg College won the men's sport trophy by capturing 56.0 points out of a possible 79.0 points for an overall rating of 0.71. The Hornets were crowned conference champions in cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field. Lynchburg was also a regular season champion in baseball.
