The Home Stretch

Posted on 11/17/2009

Hey everyone!

This weekend was crazy! The Ninth Annual Scholarship Competition was on Friday and the campus was filled with prospective admitted students. I sat and talked with a group of students participating in the competition on Friday morning and answered questions while they were waiting for their interview with an LC faculty or staff member. I love hanging out and talking with prospective students. I then gave a tour to many of the students and their families later that afternoon. It is days like this that remind me how much I love being a Student Ambassador :)

On Saturday our Fall Open House took place and I gave the student speech at the event in the morning. I love giving the speech at the Open Houses. Later in the day, I was part of the student panel and answered questions from prospective students with four other student ambassadors. I worked a lot more than normal for this week, but that is what happens when there is a Scholarship Competition and an Open House on the same weekend. I loved it.

This week is exciting because on Saturday I will be going home for Thanksgiving break... I really cannot wait! I haven't been home in about a month and I will finally be able to see a lot of my friends from home that I have not been able to see since the beginning of August. I love being at LC, but sometimes it is nice to go home and see all the people from there. Plus, it is Thanksgiving, one of my favorite holidays... aside from Christmas. I have a lot of work that I need to start doing this week and over the break, so I hope that I will be able to buckle down and get ready for finals. Finals week is looming over us and once we all get back from break Christmas Break it will be here before we know it.

I am going to try to enjoy the last few weeks of this semester, because before I know it, I am going to be starting my LAST SEMESTER here at LC.... I can't believe it....

I hope everyone has an AMAZING Thanksgiving!
