What is the Annual Fund?
Since 1974, the Annual Fund has provided a pool of unrestricted gifts for the College. This means that the donor has not specified or restricted how the gift should be used. Most colleges and universities have an unrestricted giving program. “America’s Best Colleges,” published annually by U.S. News and World Report, uses Annual Fund participation as a factor to indicate alumni satisfaction with their alma mater.
Why is the Annual Fund important?
Because Annual Fund gifts are unrestricted, the College is able to use them where they are most urgently needed. This provides vital budget relief for operating expenses as well as scholarships, faculty development, athletics, and library resources. Every student benefits from the Annual Fund.
Who gives to the Annual Fund?
Each year, we ask alumni, current and past parents, friends, corporations, and foundations to give to the Annual Fund. LC seniors are asked to pledge their support as alumni. Collectively, this generosity creates an immediate and personal impact, enriching the lives of every student and faculty member, every day, in all corners of the College.
Those who would like to support LC athletics can do so by making a gift to The Hornet Club.

How can I give?
To make a gift, please visit our online giving page or call 800/621-1669. You may use a major credit card, debit card, or check. We invite you to split your gift into automated monthly installments, in the amount and schedule of your choice, to be charged to your credit card.
Our Annual Fund phonathon, staffed by student callers, takes place in the fall and spring semesters of each academic year. If you receive a phonathon call, we hope you'll take a few minutes to talk with the caller about your LC experience and make a pledge over the phone.
