Who’s on the other end of the line when LC calls you?
Over 30 dedicated Hornets make calls to LC alumni, parents and friends of LC during the Lynchburg College Phonathon. Our student callers reach out to ask for gifts of financial support, update contact information and share news from the College.
Our first Phonathon was held in 1974 – it’s an LC tradition! Our callers have raised millions for the Annual Fund, which provides financial support for scholarships, career development programs, technology enhancements, academic and co-curricular programs, athletics and much more.
The Phonathon runs from September through April. We hope you’ll take a moment to speak with one of our callers this year!

Psychology major, Connection Leader
“To me, LC is about people and the connections among faculty, students and alumni; these connections are strengthened when donors support the college.”
Marketing major, baseball player
“LC has made me a better student, and that wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the scholarships and support I’ve received from LC donors.”
Communication Studies major
“I really enjoy working in Phonathon because I have a chance to connect with fellow Hornets. I’m thankful for Annual Fund donors, because without their support, we wouldn’t have small class sizes, or top-notch faculty.”
