M. Carey Brewer Alumni Award Nomination Form

At the 1983 Commencement, the Lynchburg College Alumni Association established the Carey Brewer Alumni Award to honor Dr. Carey Brewer for his distinguished career as president of the College from February 1964 – July 1983. Because Dr. Brewer was just 36 when he began his tenure as president, the Carey Brewer Alumni Award recognizes young alumni under 40 years of age who have made an outstanding contribution to one area of society.

Nomination Deadline

Nominations for 2015 awards will be accepted through January 31, 2015.

Nomination Criteria

Eligibility requirements: Individuals will be considered who attended Lynchburg College for at least 2 years and graduated from an accredited college or university within the last 15 years and are younger than 40 years of age.

Criteria for selection: The nominee must have made an outstanding contribution to one area of society. Contributions may include, but are not limited to: the areas of professional, civic, religious life, or service to alma mater.
