GS 104 is taught by a member of the Academic and Career Services Team and explores both the internal and external factors that contribute to college success. The course reinforces basic study habits including time management, note-taking, active reading, and test preparation. Students learn academic vocabulary, how to set goals, and perhaps mostly importantly, critical reading, writing, and thinking skills.
We tend to fill sections of GS 104 with first-year students in the fall semester. However, we offer mid-term and spring sections to any student interested.
