Qualified students are eligible to become nominated to Phi Sigma Iota, the International Foreign Language Honor Society.
Phi Sigma Iota recognizes outstanding accomplishment in the study or teaching of any of the academic fields related to foreign language, literature, or culture. Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages.
Students are inducted into the organization during the spring semester of their junior or senior year.
Twelve students were inducted on March 22, 2016: Laura Albert, Cody Cole, Kelsey Dowling, Elana Fazio, Tia Garner, Maggie Payne, Jessica Pleasants, Akossiwa “Elise” Togbe, Jordan Webb-Russell, Amber Zabinsky, Olivia Hoffmann (not pictured), and Kelly Spitler (not pictured).
