Dr. Andrews has begun her 33rd year as nursing faculty at LC. She has taught primarily adult health courses but throughout the years, she has also taught in every field noted in the curriculum. During her early years at LC, Dr. Andrews directed the RN-BSN program for RNs in the community with diplomas or associate degrees in nursing. She has served on most of the college committees and has been involved with accreditation visits and preparation for the College and the nursing program. Dr. Andrews served as Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for ten years prior to retiring in July 2013.

Professional Interests/Research

While semi-retired, Dr. Andrews continues to follow healthcare reform and the work needed in LC’s RN to MSN Pathway and MSN programs.

Dr. Andrews is currently teaching Health Policy and Teaching Strategies in the MSN program.

Personal Info/Interests

When time permits, Dr. Andrews enjoys working outdoors with yard work and flowers. She has interests in small-renovation home improvement projects and enjoys making the old look new again.
