Experience and Background

  • 2001-present, Lynchburg College

Dr. Clabough’s eleven books and over one hundred periodical publications to date have earned him several awards and fellowships, as well as a featured retrospective in the Oxford American. At LC he teaches solely graduate courses, mostly in the areas of Creative Prose and American Literature, and also serves as editor of the college’s lone professional journal, the James Dickey Review, which author Pat Conroy proclaims “has become a unique southern literary institution under Clabough’s expert guidance.” In addition, he holds the position of series editor for the forthcoming, multi-book “Best Creative Nonfiction of the South.” An avid outdoorsman, Clabough lives on a farm in Appomattox County, Virginia.
