The religious studies major provides you with a broad understanding of the nature of religion in Western and Eastern religious traditions through the analysis of texts and institutions worldwide throughout history.

Religious SymbolsThe Religious Studies program offers introductory and advanced courses and seminars for students to fulfill the requirements for General Education and for a major or minor in the department. The department also offers special courses, involving either individual research or apprenticeships.

Students who wish to complete a major or minor concentration or a joint major should identify themselves to member of the departmental faculty and have a faculty academic advisor appointed from the department for course selection and scheduling.
